Amber Borden was born in Meridian, Mississippi and grew up in Philadelphia, Mississippi. Her undergraduate training was at Ole Miss and she attended medical school in Jackson at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She was married to Clay Borden in June of 2005 and Clay is currently an ORL resident here at the University of Oklahoma. Amber likes to travel, garden, jet ski, and attend Ole Miss football games whenever possible. She is known for her excellent clinical acumen and friendly demeanor-- as long as she isn't dealing with a "turkey"! Amber will begin a hematology-oncology fellowship here at OU following her chief residency.
Seth Gregory was born in Houston, Texas, before immigrating to Oklahoma City, where he was raised. He attended Brigham Young University as an undergraduate and completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. Seth is married to Caroline and has two children-- four year-old Jacob and twenty-two month-old Alexander. His hobbies are "whatever my kids want to do". Seth proved himself one of the best clinicians in his resident class as winner of the 2007-2008 Stewart Wolf "Outstanding Resident in Medicine" Award. Seth will enter a pulmonary-critical care fellowship next year here at OU.
Resident Staff
Our resident physicians represent a diverse and
dedicated group of doctors. Combining people from a variety of
training backgrounds in the United States with a select group of
outstanding international graduates, we have assembled a house staff
with the intellect, clinical skills, and social background to foster an
outstanding collegial and learning environment. Our trainees hail from
locations as
far-flung
as Pakistan, India, Greece, and Honduras, to training sites closer to
home, including the universities of Texas-Southwestern, Texas-San
Antonio, Texas Tech, Miami, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, and, of
course, Oklahoma. One thing all of our residents have in common is the
desire to learn and to care for patients.
Our graduates have accrued an impressive average on the American Board of Internal Medicine Certification Exam, with a rolling three-year average pass rate of 95%. Additionally, our most recent intern class posted an average USMLE (I and II) average of 91.4. Our trainees have been published in a variety of journals while in training, including The New England Journal of Medicine, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Chest, and have presented at many national and regional scientific meetings.
We have a truly outstanding complement of physicians and one of which we are understandably very proud.
